Windows 7??

So I've been thinking about upgrading to windows 7 for a few months now. I never went to Vista so for me this is a big step. Not looking forward to the WEEKS of tweaking..Not to mention the fav programs that might not work. What do you all think??  If you are on 7, do you like it??  Learning curve??  Is it that much better?? Thanks
